'twas the night before nationals
twas the nite before Nationals, and out in the shed
Poppy was working, all the tricks in his head
The tires were soaking, in rags wet with Prep
While Grandma, mommy, and the driver all slept.
The helmets were lined up on a shelf by the door,
and the racing shoes were cleaned up, lined up on the floor
The entry forms were filled out, forgeries at best
For Devin, McKenna, Josh and the rest.
All of a sudden, someone barged in the door
poppy dropped the carb right there on the floor.
There was Dan Ebright, Owner/ Promoter
"I just came by to check out your motor"
Poppy said, no, you cant see my engine,
At least not til we win
As he covered the clone.
I'll uncover this motor, when I am all alone
Dan said Shoot I saw McKennas's and Devin's
I left Knoxville just as Leavitt's was Revvin.
so here is a tip you might wanna know,
Into the corners as losw as you can go.
Im Gonna leave now, leave you back to your work
You might want to remember that the tracks made of dirt

points accumulated day 1 will help align the starting order of the A Main on the 2nd day. There will be a Dash for Cash on day 2 consisting of the top 6 scorers from day 1. Those 6 will draw aa number for starting position in the dash, and the finishing order of the dash will set the order of the 1st 3 rows of the A Main. Beyond those 6 positions, competitors will start in the order of finish on day 1.
